This model was developed to cater for those engines which have severely restricted space, making fitting the larger Motorflow 1 impossible on very small fuel lines.

Motorflow 2 is rated as suitable for petrol engines up to 3 litres.   On most diesel engines, the fuel flow rate is high, so a Motorflow 1 unit is usually more suitable.   If you must fit Motorflow 2 units, please calculate one per 1.6 litres (so a 2 litre diesel engine would need two units;  a 3 litre diesel engine would need three, etc.).

On large diesel engines, e.g. trucks, boats, etc., it might be more cost effective to fit Motorflow 2 to each injector pipe, where accessible.   Otherwise, fit one Motorflow 1 unit for each 3 litres of engine size.

Why Don't Manufacturers Fit Motorflows?

We hear this question at lot!

The simple answer is that they have now caught up to the benefits of using magnets.   Instead of using Motorflows, they are building magnetic ionisation into the fuel injection systems of the latest engine designs.   Even for these few vehicles, we are still able to make small improvements - perhaps 5-8%.   It just helps to prove that magnetic ionisation works.

OTHER  APPLICATIONS

Motorflows have been used on all manner of garden equipment including Chainsaws, Strimmers and Lawn Mowers - all with good results.

We can't honestly say that there has been a fuel saving study as nobody has ever measured fuel used over a full hour!   However, it has been reported that all these machines are much easier to start, they run better, smoother and idle more reliably. (Chainsaws and strimmers have an anoying habit of stalling when hot - but not with a Motorflow on.)   Also, there is noticeably less smoke, so cleaner combustion is evident.   We would recommend these for all gardeners and especially professionals who use these machines all the time.   The savings in repairs, maintenance and spark plugs, as well as fuel, will be well worth while.

The first thing to remember is that Motorflow is conditioning the fuel as soon as it is fitted to the pipe, there is no off switch.   However, it may take time before the full benefits are noticed and there are a couple of reasons for this.

• Firstly, if there is a lot of ferrous metal between the point of treatment and the point of combustion, it will draw the ionisation out of the fuel, until the ferrous metals have become 'saturated' with ionisation and only then will the full benefits be found.   Ecoflow suggest that 1,000 miles is sufficient, though for some diesel cars it may take 3,000 miles and some diesel trucks it may take 12,000 miles!
• Secondly, if the vehicle has a lot of carbon build-up in the engine due to high mileages, this will be gradually dissolved and the efficiency gradually increase.   If the vehicle has a carburettor, it may well require re-tuning at this stage to match the increased engine efficiency.

Testing your Results

To notice an improvement in fuel economy, it is first necessary to have consumption figures BEFORE fitting Motorflow!

The first measurable improvement is often a reduction in exhaust emissions.   These can be measured BEFORE and then five miles AFTER fitting Motorflow, by a garage.

Next, the driver may be aware that the engine is smoother and pulls away from junctions etc. easier.   Due to the many variable loads placed on the engine, it is important to compare like for like conditions as much as possible.   Start/stop journeys, fitting a roof rack, carrying passengers, motorway journeys all affect fuel consumption.   Using air conditioning can use 5% more fuel.

Fitted correctly, Motorflow conditions fuel, there is no off switch!

As water passes through the CRP® magnetic field the limescale (salt) molecules lose their attraction to one another and are prevented from combining into large structures, causing them to remain in suspension.   Water treated in this way will eventually return to its original pattern, but in the average household the treated water is used before this can happen.   Once fitted, the running costs of a H2Flow are ZERO, but the savings can be considerable - both financial and environmental.
